Fair Isle Knitted Green Budgie 'Chic Beak' in gold hoop

The Budgie is knitted using a variation of Fair Isle Knitting created by the maker.  You will see the pattern repeated throughout the chest back and wings.  She has wire feet, a handmade clay beak, beautiful bead eyes and a real feather tail.
 
The hoop is covered in gold leaf and the bird is secured by her feet.  The hoop also features pink roses and green leaves made of fabric, plus a string loop ready for hanging.
 
Poem reads:
It's never easy being green,
But on a ring of rambling roses,
With topaz toes; and a willow-pattern beak,
She's not too shabby - just chic.
 
Hoop is approximately 26cm in diameter and Budgie is approximately 17cm x 5cm x 4cm.
