Tarn Hows Water Lily Circular Sun Catcher

Hanging circular sun catcher featuring water lily and pads on a pond.  Hang it in the window to see the design in all its glory as the light beautifully shines through the stained glass. 
 
Made using the Tiffany foiling technique which allows for more intricate and complex patterns and involves cutting each individual piece of glass and wrapping with a copper tape rather than using thick lead.  The pattern is then pieced together and solder is applied to the tape to form a strong bond, followed by an oxidising agent to turn it that lovely dark pewter colour.  It is the same traditional method used by Louis Comfort Tiffany back in the late 1800's to make their beautiful lamps. 
 
The item has a leather cord attached so that it will hang securely but this can be untied and retied to make it whatever length you need.  
 
Approximate size of circle is 20cm diameter cm x 5mm thickness.
