Oblong Wooden Trinket Box - Rabbit with Flowers
This hinged lightweight wooden box would be ideal as either a little trinket box or a jewellery box. It has been hand painted, both inside and outside, and features a hand made, and hand painted, clay rabbit surrounded by quilled flowers on the lid.
The painstaking art of quilling involves strips of coloured card being individually cut and manipulated into the artist's chosen design. Any items that feature quilling should not be placed in direct sunlight as the card may fade.
The outside has been painted pearlescent white and decorated with small pastel coloured beads. It has been coated in a protective sealant. While every effort has been made to seal the entire item, due to the intricate nature of the design it may be possible that not all areas have been reached. Therefore it is not advisable to store it in a damp or humid environment as moisture will have an adverse effect.
The inside has been painted silver with a little heart decoration on the inside of the lid. The base is covered in a layer of soft felt to protect the box as well as your surfaces.
It has brass coloured metal hinges and latch fastening.
Total size is approximately 12.5cm W x 7cm D x 5cm H. The inside measures approximately 11cm W x 5.5cm D x 3cm H.
