Rectangle Painted and Quilled Wooden Trinket Box - Butterfly

This hinged lightweight wooden box would be ideal as either a trinket box or a jewellery box.  It has been hand painted, both inside and outside, and features an intricate butterfly and flower design on the top.  Each part of the design has been individually quilled and then varnished to protect it.  The tips of the butterfly's wings and antennae have been hand painted gold which catches the light and enhances the whole design.
 
The art of quilling involves strips of coloured card being individually cut and manipulated into the artist's chosen design.  Please Note: Any items that feature quilling should not be placed in direct sunlight as the card will fade, or in a humid environment as the card will soften.
 
The outside has been painted painted pearlescent white and the inside has been painted orange/peach with a little heart decoration on the lid.   
 
It has a brass coloured metal clasp and hinges and a small magnet catch.
 
Total size is approximately 14cm W x 9cm D x 5cm H.  The inside measures approximately 12.5cm W x 7.5cm D x 2.5cm H.
